What we store

AltText Atlas stores shop-scoped catalog snapshots, suggestion history, billing references, and webhook logs needed to operate the app.

Production-facing policy notes

These pages are public and are intended to match the live app behavior merchants and reviewers see.

  • Offline access tokens are stored in protected form and are only used for Shopify Admin API calls on behalf of the same shop.
  • Vision providers only receive the image reference and the product metadata needed to refine an alt text suggestion.
  • Uninstall and privacy webhook flows are treated as mandatory data lifecycle events, not optional cleanup tasks.
